Part A • Targeted Pathways
For patients with mild to moderate cases, optimized aligner protocols and more frequent tray changes can compress treatment timelines. Some cases achievable in 6–9 months rather than 12–18.
Uprighting tipped or drifted teeth before implant placement, bridge work, or crown lengthening. Targeted tooth movement that creates the ideal restorative foundation without full orthodontic treatment.
Treatment of a specific area — typically upper or lower anterior teeth — to address a cosmetic concern or functional issue without treating the entire dentition. Faster and less expensive than comprehensive care.
Some severe bite discrepancies — such as skeletal underbites, extreme overbites, open bites, and pronounced facial asymmetries — are structural in origin. Because these challenges are rooted directly within the bone geometry rather than tooth positions, they cannot be adequately resolved through standalone tooth alignment movement. Orthognathic surgery repositions the jaw(s) to restore healthy function and facial balance. This comprehensive path requires close, structured cooperation between our orthodontic team and an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, spanning pre-surgical alignment phases, the surgical window, and post-surgical tooth refinement.
“We assess whether your case can be managed orthodontically, would benefit from surgery, or genuinely requires it. If surgery is recommended, we coordinate every phase of your orthodontic treatment with the oral surgeon — we don’t refer you out and leave you on your own.”
Cephalometric X-rays, photos, and models are compiled. We analyze the jaw relationship and build the surgical sequence in direct consultation with the oral surgeon.
Spans 12–18 months. Braces are used to align the dental arches within each individual jaw, preparing them to fit together perfectly when the bones are repositioned.
Performed by the maxillofacial surgeon. The jaws are safely repositioned to correct the skeletal discrepancy. Recovery ranges from 2–6 weeks, and we align all timing windows with the surgical team.
Spans 6–12 months. Fine-tunes your final bite relationship now that the jaws are properly aligned. Followed by long-term retainer wear to protect your results.
